My favorite food in the world

A plate of hot pancakes drizzled with Buckwheat Honey might be the most loved food item of the planet.

Did someone say pancakes?!

They say breakfast is the important meal of the day. And Indians have had a vast range of options available for it from the very beginning.  Although we say Aloo paratha is something any average Indian would love to have it, there is one more American recipe everyone in India has started loving it, Pancakes.

Basically, Pancake is a flat cake, often thin and round, prepared from a starch-based batter that may contain eggs, milk, and butter and cooked on a hot surface such as a griddle or frying pan, often frying with oil or butter. Archaeological evidence suggests that pancakes were probably the earliest and most widespread cereal food eaten in prehistoric societies.

The pancake's shape and structure vary worldwide. In England, pancakes are often unleavened and resemble a crêpe. In North America, a leavening agent is used (typically baking powder) creating a thick fluffy pancake. A crêpe is a thin Breton pancake of French origin cooked on one or both sides in a special pan or crepe maker to achieve a lacelike network of fine bubbles. A well-known variation originating from southeast Europe is a palačinke, a thin moist pancake fried on both sides and filled with jam, cream cheese, chocolate, or ground walnuts, but many other fillings—sweet or savory—can also be used.

When the potato is used as a major portion of the batter, the result is a potato pancake. Commercially prepared pancake mixes are available in some countries. When buttermilk is used in place of or in addition to milk, the pancake develops a tart flavor and becomes known as a buttermilk pancake, which is common in Scotland and the US. Buckwheat flour can be used in a pancake batter, making for a type of buckwheat pancake, a category that includes Blini, Kaletez, Ploy, and Memil-buchimgae.

Pancakes may be served at any time of the day with a variety of toppings or fillings but in America, they are typically considered breakfast food. Pancakes serve a similar function to waffles. In Britain and the Commonwealth, they are associated with Shrove Tuesday, commonly known as "Pancake Day", when, historically, perishable ingredients had to be used up before the fasting period of Lent.

A plate of hot pancakes drizzled with Buckwheat Honey has its own very own charm! Because apart from the delicious taste, it has its own health benefits. Looking at honey from a health perspective, buckwheat has three times as many antioxidants as acacia honey, which is much lighter in color. The darker the honey, the more antioxidants. Buckwheat honey isn’t as sweet as the more common lighter types of honey you’ll find in your average grocery store.

Eating buckwheat honey pancake in a mixture of black tea helps to significantly boost the level of antioxidants in the body. Antioxidants help to protect your body from damage caused by free radicals. You can eat buckwheat honey pancake If you have a sore throat, a tablespoon of buckwheat honey is a helpful home remedy you should try.

Also, Buckwheat is packed with fiber and it can serve as a high energy source. Within buckwheat, there are complex carbohydrates that get slowly absorbed into your bloodstream and help to give you sustainable energy levels throughout the day. Buckwheat also boosts B vitamins, plus minerals like manganese, magnesium, zinc, iron, and folate.

To enjoy the honey with the maximum amount of health benefits, you should definitely include "The Buckwheat Pancake" in your Breakfast or in the Brunch routine.
